Better Finder Attributes v7.47: Metadata and Attribute Management Tool for Mac

A Better Finder Attributes is a professional tool for managing file attributes and metadata on the macOS platform, filling the gap in the system’s Finder for deep file attribute modifications. It supports batch processing of file timestamps, photo EXIF metadata, and file system flags, making it a powerful asset for photographers, content creators, file administrators, and system administrators to efficiently organize and standardize file attributes.

### Features:

#### 一、专业级照片与媒体元数据管理
– Supports JPEG, TIFF, HEIC, and RAW formats such as CR2, NEF, ARF, RAF, and more. It allows setting EXIF timestamps to any specified time, or adjusting timestamps in batches to correct clock errors and time discrepancies across time zones.
– Directly edits EXIF, IPTC, and XMP metadata tags, covering copyright information, owner details, camera and lens parameters, exposure data, and other core content. It also supports removing GPS location information and complete metadata stripping, catering to both copyright management and privacy protection needs.
– Continuously improves metadata clearing capabilities, with version 7.47 enhancing TIFF and XMP metadata removal precision, ensuring thorough cleanup without damaging file content.

#### 二、全维度文件时间戳精准控制
– Controls creation and modification dates of files and folders with full authority, allowing setting to any time point and batch adjustments. This meets needs for archiving, sorting media, and compliance management.
– Synchronizes file creation and modification dates with photo EXIF shooting dates and video creation dates, ensuring correct sorting in Finder and other systems, addressing issues with inconsistent time lines across devices.
– Version 7.46 introduces the “Synchronize file creation/modification dates with parent folder dates” action, allowing batch alignment of file and folder timestamps, significantly improving directory organization efficiency. Version 7.45 optimizes the removal of content dates, making date clearance operations more stable and efficient.

#### 三、Mac文件系统属性批量管理
– Supports batch setting of all mainstream macOS file system flags: enabling/disabling file extension visibility, locking/unlocking files to prevent accidental deletion or modification, and managing traditional creator codes and type codes, accommodating older file management needs.
– Supports batch setting, replacement, and deletion of Finder color tags and text tags, allowing for quick file categorization and enhancing file search and management efficiency.
– Includes a forced refresh Finder file information feature, ensuring attribute modifications take effect immediately without needing to restart Finder.

#### 四、高效清理隐藏文件与系统文件
– Provides a one-click toggle for showing/hiding files in Finder, allowing quick management of hidden files.
– Supports batch deletion of system-generated hidden files like .DS_Store, solving issues with cross-platform file transfer anomalies, version control, and compression, improving compatibility across systems.

#### 五、高效易用的批量处理与自动化
– Native support for full batch operations, allowing the application of attribute rules to hundreds or thousands of files/folders at once, significantly reducing manual repetitive tasks and enhancing file organization efficiency.
– Supports saving common settings as standalone “Droplet” utilities, enabling drag-and-drop file processing for attribute modifications, adapting to frequent workflows.
– Deeply integrated with macOS, supporting right-click menu quick access and keyboard shortcuts, allowing quick invocation of core features without opening the main application.

Version 7.47 Updates:

– Optimized metadata clearing for TIFF and XMP formats.
– Synchronize file creation/modification dates with parent folder dates.
