Description

QLab Pro for Mac integrates powerful audio, video, and lighting control functionalities into an elegant software package. This version introduces the new light cue and over 40 other new features, marking the most outstanding version of QLab to date.

One, Multifunctional and User-friendly Performance Control

QLab employs an intuitive user interface to help you design and manage multimedia content within a smooth and customizable workspace, easily managing audio, video, MIDI, and OSC (Open Sound Control) signals.

The software comes equipped with numerous building blocks called “Cues,” which can be designed to create stunning multimedia performance effects by simply clicking. You can start adding volume fade-in/fade-out commands, set animations for video clips, and apply rich video and audio effects by dragging and dropping files.

Two, Customizable Scripts and Rich Audio-Visual Effects

After mastering the basic operations, you can further enhance your control capabilities and become an experienced user by utilizing advanced features such as multi-projector edge blending, video geometric correction, and audio spatial positioning. Additionally, you can build multi-computer designs and send synchronized commands to multiple QLab systems on the same local network.

After arranging the cue lists, you can click the “Go” button to preview the performance effects. Through the “Warnings” panel, you can check the list and identify all recognized issues.

Three, Professional Features and Powerful Tools Support

QLab supports up to 48 audio output channels and 24 audio input channels, offering an intuitive audio waveform editor, customizable pitch and playback rate adjustments, video and audio sliders, animation tools, matrix mixers, various audio and video effects, including虹吸 integration, trapezoid correction, and corner fixing for professional video processing.

You can also overlay titles, use multiple real-time video input sources including Blackmagic devices, handle multiple video surfaces, apply fade-in/fade-out curves, slice files, use markers, and load external video effect plugins.

Version 5.4.2 Update Content

1. New Features

  • Output Mute and Solo Buttons for Cues: Located in the Inspector’s “Trim” tab and the Audio Output Routing Editor’s “Routing” tab.
  • Remote Audio Effect Editing: Now allows remote control of audio effects via a collaborative remote controller (requires the corresponding effect plugins to be installed on both the master control and remote computers).
  • Two-Dimensional Fade-In/Fade-Out for Video Geometric Properties: The fade-in/fade-out cues now support two-dimensional fades for video geometric properties.
  • Enhanced Curve Editor Tools: New tools for editing one-dimensional fade-in/fade-out curves and two-dimensional paths, including keyboard navigation, multi-point selection, copy/paste, zoom, vertical locking, rotation, inversion, and circular drawing tools.
  • Curve Mirror Locking: The “Curves” tab for fade-in/fade-out cues allows mirror locking of the upper and lower curves, which will affect both when adjusting.
  • Time-Limited Microphone and Camera Cues: Allows setting fixed durations for microphone and camera cues.
  • Enhanced External Editor: In the Inspector’s “Time and Loop” tab’s waveform view, the right-click menu offers more options for opening external editors.
  • Audio Effect Copying: Supports copying audio effect settings between cue outputs and device outputs.
  • Bulk Editing for MIDI Files: Adds support for bulk editing of MIDI file cues.
  • AppleScript Move Command: Supports the use of AppleScript’s “move” command to move cues.
  • Quick Selection of Playhead Cues: The “Select Cue…” tool now includes an option to quickly select cues currently at the playhead.

2. Error Fixes

  • Fixed the issue where audio waveform curves would hide the waveform when displayed with integrated fade-in/fade-out curves on some macOS 12 systems.
  • Fixed the issue where selecting a cue would unexpectedly move the selection focus to the top of the cue list.
  • Fixed the issue where the instant relative fade-in/fade-out function was not working.
  • Fixed the issue where the random playback list group would still display random order after changing the group mode.
  • Fixed the issue where playing audio cues would briefly pause after deleting all cue output effects.
  • Fixed the issue where the text cue editor would display incorrectly at low zoom levels.
  • Fixed the issue where drawing errors occurred when using fixed cues in the timeline.
  • Fixed the issue where adding multiple instances of the same audio effect to a single cue could cause abnormal behavior.
  • Fixed the issue where clicking on the “Time and Loop” tab of cue output templates would cause a crash.
  • Fixed the issue where network cue inspector parameters would not refresh correctly after dragging and undoing a slider.
