Version 3.23 Update Content:
Early Completion of Repeating To-Do Items
Sometimes you’re ahead of schedule and want to mark off a task early. Now, repeating to-do items also display ordinary checkboxes, allowing you to mark them off as completed once they’re done.
Easy Rescheduling
Repeating to-do items can now be rescheduled, making it easier to handle changes in plans. Simply move them to a new date. If they’re periodic, Things will ask whether you want to create a one-time exception or update future repeating rules. If they’re post-completion, it will directly move to the new date.
We’ve also made several improvements to repeating to-do items:
– The settings dialog for repeating to-do items now has a new appearance, making it easier to choose the next repeat date.
– The repeating to-do item’s copy now displays a small gray repeat icon to distinguish it from regular to-do items.
– Now, you can create the next copy of a repeating to-do item early if you start editing one of its to-do items. Things will suggest creating the next copy.
– You can also manually create the next copy of a repeating to-do item by right-clicking it and selecting “Repeat > Create Next Copy.”
– Now, you can batch pause, continue, and stop multiple repeating to-do items.
