BusyCal is the most powerful, flexible, and reliable calendar application for macOS. Its innovative, time-saving features include: custom views, task integration, travel time, maps, natural language input, weather, lunar phases, graphics, tags, and more.
Custom Views
BusyCal displays the calendar in daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and list views. What sets BusyCal apart is its ability to customize these views to better meet your needs. You can choose the number of weeks or days per week to display, and you can even customize the appearance of the calendar by selecting fonts, sizes, and colors.
Task Integration
In BusyCal, tasks are integrated into the calendar, displaying on the due date or time and remaining until completed. You can also display a list of tasks in the side bar. BusyCal’s tasks are compatible with Mac and iOS reminders and can be synchronized with them.
Information Panel
BusyCal’s information panel allows you to quickly and accurately view and edit event details. The information panel can be displayed in the side bar or as a pop-up or floating window. It is fully customizable, allowing you to choose from multiple attributes to display, including time zone, tags, maps, private notes, last edit time, and more.
Travel Time
BusyCal allows you to plan time for a trip or event, whether walking, driving, or taking public transportation. You can set a fixed travel time or use the integration with location services and Apple Maps to automatically determine the travel time. You can also receive alerts when it’s time to leave due to traffic conditions.
Menu Bar Application
BusyCal’s menu bar is always active, even when the BusyCal main application is not running, so you can always keep track of your schedule. It displays a scrolling list of mini-months, events, and tasks, as well as weather forecasts. You can tap on an event to view its details and use natural language to create new events and tasks.
Weather and Lunar Phases
BusyCal displays 10-day weather forecasts, lunar phases, and sunrise and sunset times in real-time.
Graphics
BusyCal allows you to add graphics to the calendar to highlight holidays and special events. You can choose from built-in emojis and IconFinder images, or drag images from your desktop or web.
Smart Filters
BusyCal’s smart filters are a powerful tool for managing the calendar. Smart filters can be accessed via keyboard shortcuts or the toolbar and can display calendar groups (show/hide multiple calendars), execute stored searches (events containing “Joe”), apply view settings (monthly view of 8 weeks), and more.
Reminders
BusyCal displays reminders in a movable, resizable floating window, allowing you to set delayed reminders from now or minutes before the event starts, or set multiple delayed reminders. Even if the BusyCal main application is not running, BusyCal reminders will trigger, so you won’t miss important appointments.
BusyContacts Integration
BusyCal integrates its sister application BusyContacts, forming a flexible and easy-to-use CRM solution. By adding contacts to events in BusyCal, you can access the email and phone numbers of the contacts and records of your interactions with them in BusyContacts.
