《The Troop（部队）》 is a turn-based tactical military game set during World War II. Play as British, Canadian, or German troops fighting for control of Normandy.

On the morning of June 6, 1944, Allied forces launched the largest sea invasion in history, the D-Day landings. The Battle of Normandy would mark the beginning of a vicious campaign to take control of northwest Europe from German control. Over the next few months, the old fields, farms, and villages would become the battlegrounds for new, deadly weapons, weapons that would become legendary.

The Troop follows the British and Canadian forces fighting against the German Heer and Waffen-SS in Normandy. Command infantry, motorized, and armored units in a challenging, unpredictable, and fair tactical turn-based battle against AI opponents. Play as British/Canadian or German forces, traversing 30+ maps and 4 game modes.

Complete Control – The Troop honors the best traditions of classic desktop war games and combines the interactivity and excitement of digital formats. You can control your units’ actions completely; tanks won’t expose their weak side armor, hidden artillery won’t reveal their positions, and infantry won’t inexplicably run away. You can go slowly… but any mistake is your own.

Your AI opponents have no special knowledge and are subject to the same rules and restrictions as you. The enemy doesn’t have a fixed plan, and each replay will change the deployment and tactics.

Story Mode
Follow the narrative of the Battle of Normandy, playing as a series of different units (British Commonwealth and German) as history unfolds in Normandy.

Small Conflict Mode
Choose your scenario, your faction, your army, and your enemy restrictions… and start the game. What will the enemy bring, and what tactics will they use? You must wait and see, but it won’t be the same as last time! Endless replayability.

Campaign
Command a resilient army in a series of interconnected, historically inspired scenarios. Losses are permanent, but surviving units gain experience and efficiency over multiple deployments. Four campaigns are available: 8th Armored Brigade, 21st Armored Division, 31st Tank Brigade, Waffen-SS Armored Division.

Battle Group
A lively series of 5-9 missions, led by randomly generated, persistent player armies.

Choose your difficulty, and play freely – The Troop doesn’t have any difficulty settings. Instead, players can control various features, rules, and information settings to customize their gaming experience for the most enjoyable challenge.

A game, not a simulation – The Troop was born from a lifelong passion for World War II history and turn-based games. Our goal is to provide an interesting challenge for people to learn about this history. The events described are set in a wide range of real-world scenarios for the World War II campaigns, but the tasks themselves are fictional, intended for enjoyment of a pleasant challenge rather than a strict historical description. We only hope to treat the countless memories and after-action reports of those who survived with the respect they deserve.
