In daily database management work, the choice of tools often determines efficiency. SQLPro Studio for Mac is a professional-grade database management tool born to solve the pain points of Mac users. It is deeply designed and optimized for the macOS platform, not only highly integrated with the native system style but also achieving ultimate smoothness in performance.
The core highlight of this tool lies in its native support for multiple mainstream database systems, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server (via a compatibility layer), and Oracle. This means you no longer need to switch back and forth between multiple applications—one SQLPro Studio can handle all connection tasks, providing users with a unified, efficient, and intuitive management environment.
According to the Stack Overflow 2023 Developer Survey, over 70% of professional developers need to manage at least two different database systems daily. SQLPro Studio precisely addresses this pain point, simplifying the complex multi-database management process to the extreme.
SQLPro Studio not only provides basic database connection and query functions but also comes equipped with a series of advanced features to meet the professional needs of developers, database administrators, and data analysts:
It is worth mentioning that SQLPro Studio also includes a powerful table structure designer. You can add, modify, or delete fields visually without manually writing cumbersome ALTER TABLE statements. This is a very practical feature for rapid prototyping and database refactoring.
SQLPro Studio has a clear and intuitive user interface. The following screenshots show its main functional layout and user-friendly design:

Figure 1: SQLPro Studio main interface and connection management
The main interface adopts a classic three-column layout. The left side is the database browser, the middle is the query editing area, and the right side is the result output panel. This layout makes the information hierarchy clear at a glance, allowing you to quickly locate the target database or table.

Figure 2: SQL query editor and result display
The query editor supports multi-tab operations, allowing you to open multiple query scripts simultaneously for comparison or debugging. The result panel not only supports data sorting and filtering but can also generate INSERT or UPDATE statements with one click, greatly simplifying data maintenance work.

Figure 3: Database table structure and relationship view
The database structure tree in the sidebar supports expansion down to the field level and directly displays field types, default values, and constraint information. The right-click menu provides shortcuts such as “Copy Table Structure” and “View Table Data,” making daily inspections very convenient.
SQLPro Studio is particularly suitable for the following work scenarios:
Its core advantage lies in combining powerful professional features with a clean and intuitive interface design, lowering the technical barrier to database management while meeting the customization needs of professional users through rich advanced settings. For example, you can customize shortcuts, theme colors, and editor fonts to create a working environment that fully matches your personal habits.
For DBAs who frequently handle millions of data records, SQLPro Studio’s paginated query feature performs excellently. It does not load all data into memory at once but loads on demand, effectively avoiding Mac memory overflow issues. This advantage is particularly noticeable when tested on an 8GB MacBook Air.
To ensure you can use this tool smoothly, here is a detailed installation step guide. The entire process takes about 3-5 minutes.
Click the download link on this page to obtain the SQLPro_Studio_v2019.63.dmg file. After downloading, double-click the file to mount it. You will see a window containing the application icon and a folder.
Drag the SQLPro Studio.app icon to the Applications folder on the right. This is the standard macOS software installation method, and the system will automatically complete the file copy.
Open Launchpad, find and click the SQLPro Studio icon. On first launch, the system may display a “Cannot verify developer” prompt. This is because the application is not signed by Apple officially.
Solution: Open “System Preferences” -> “Security & Privacy” -> “General,” and you will see a prompt saying “Opening …SQLPro Studio was blocked.” Click the “Open Anyway” button. Subsequent launches will not show this prompt again.
After launching, the software will prompt you to enter a license or enter trial mode. Please use the activation code included in the download package (usually located in the SN.txt or Readme.txt file) to activate. After entering the activation code, click “Activate” to unlock all features.
After successful activation, click the “+” button in the upper left corner of the interface to create a new connection. In the pop-up window, select the database type (e.g., MySQL), enter the host address, port, username, and password, and click “Test Connection” to test whether the connection is successful. After a successful connection, click “Save” to save.
If you encounter the “Public Key Retrieval is not allowed” error when testing the connection, please go to the “Advanced” tab in the connection settings and set “AllowPublicKeyRetrieval” to “true.”
