Are you sure you want to open it?” Click “Open”. Then, the software will enter the activation screen. Please use the activation code or registration information we provide to complete activation.

We have compiled the most common user questions and provided detailed answers to help you quickly resolve any confusion during use.
This is usually because macOS security policies block unsigned applications. Go to “System Preferences” > “Security & Privacy” > “General”, and under “Allow apps downloaded from”, select “Anywhere”. If the option is not visible, enter the command in Terminal: sudo spctl –master-disable.
In the “Sites” panel on the left side of Coda 2, click the “+” button at the bottom left and select “Add Site”. In the pop-up window, enter the site name, server address, username, and password. Select the protocol (e.g., FTP or SFTP) and click “Connect”. It is recommended to check “Save Password” on the first connection.
Coda 2 has built-in support for dozens of mainstream languages, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Ruby, Perl, SQL, and more. It provides syntax highlighting, code completion, and auto-indentation. You can also extend support for other languages by installing plugins.
Use the built-in Panic Sync feature. In Coda 2’s menu bar, select “Coda 2” > “Preferences” > “Panic Sync”. Click “Enable Panic Sync” and sign in with your Panic account. After that, your sites, passwords, and keys will automatically sync to all Macs signed in to the same account.
Live preview relies on Coda 2’s built-in WebKit engine. Please ensure your HTML file has no syntax errors. Also, check whether “Auto Refresh” is checked in the “Preview” menu. If using an external browser for preview, you need to install the corresponding browser extension.
Coda 2’s site configurations are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/Coda 2/ in your user directory. You can regularly back up the entire “Coda 2” folder. Additionally, using Panic Sync cloud synchronization is also a secure backup method.
For large projects or when many files are open simultaneously, Coda 2’s memory usage will increase accordingly. It is recommended to close unused tabs. If you experience lag, try restarting the software. According to official documentation, at least 8GB of RAM is recommended for a smooth experience.
Go to “System Preferences” > “Keyboard” > “Shortcuts” > “App Shortcuts”. Click the “+” button, select “Coda 2” under “Application”, then enter the menu command name and shortcut combination you want to set. Be careful not to conflict with system shortcuts.
Please confirm you are using the v2.7.6 version provided on this page. Activation codes usually do not have a time limit. If it says expired, it may be due to an incorrect system time. Please calibrate the time and try again. If the problem persists, contact our customer service for new activation information.
Drag the Coda 2 icon from “Applications” to the Trash. Also, it is recommended to manually delete the preferences file: go to ~/Library/Preferences/ and delete com.panic.Coda2.plist. Additionally, you can delete the cache and configuration in the ~/Library/Application Support/Coda 2/ folder.
