QLab Pro for Mac integrates powerful audio, video, and lighting control features into an elegant software package. This update introduces a new light cue and over 40 new features, making it the most outstanding version of QLab to date.

One, Multifunctional and User-Friendly Performance Control

QLab employs an intuitive user interface to help you design and manage multimedia content in a smooth and customizable workspace, easily managing audio, video, MIDI, and OSC signals.

The software comes with a rich set of building blocks—known as “cues”—which can be designed to create stunning multimedia performance effects with a simple click. You can quickly add volume fade-in/fade-out commands, set animations for video clips, and apply various video and audio effects by dragging and dropping files.

Two, Customizable Scripts and Rich Audio/Video Effects

After mastering the basic operations, you can further enhance your control capabilities through advanced features such as script writing, multi-projector edge blending, video corner fixing, and audio positioning, elevating you to a superuser. Additionally, you can build multi-computer designs and send commands to multiple QLab systems on the same local network.

After arranging the cue list, you can click the “Go” button to preview the performance effects. The “Warnings” panel allows you to check the list and identify all discovered issues.

Three, Broad Compatibility and Integration of Professional Tools

QLab supports 48 audio output and 24 audio input channels, offering intuitive audio waveform editing, customizable pitch and playback rate adjustments, video and audio sliders, animation tools, matrix mixers, various audio and video effects,虹吸 integration, trapezoid correction, and corner fixing.

You can also overlay titles, use multiple real-time video input sources including Blackmagic devices, handle multiple video surfaces, apply fade-in/fade-out curves, slice files, use markers, and call external video effects.

Four, QLab 5.2.1 Update Content

New Features:

• Now you can choose to display the most recently launched cues as the default.
• You can use arrow keys to move the video area and adjust its size. The video stage editor now includes a “?” help button to view keyboard shortcuts and modifier keys.
• A new AppleScript property is added to support getting and setting the video output stage for video, text, and camera cues.
• The OSC command for the lighting dashboard now includes a “real-time” variant, allowing you to modify light values without editing the dashboard, thus avoiding affecting the undo stack (dashboard/setLight).

Fixes:

• Fixed several issues causing microphone cue output distortion or popping.
• Fixed the audio patch fade-in/fade-out not working when only the audio license is installed.
• Fixed the audio output patch list not refreshing after reordering patches.
• Fixed the issue where the alpha channel overlay of multiple ProRes 4444 video layers caused purple or pink tones.
• Closing a workspace no longer affects other open workspaces’ video outputs.
• Fixed the issue causing Blackmagic DeckLink video input to fail.
• Improved the recovery capability when video input disconnects, especially when the video monitor window is viewing that input.
• Fixed several issues related to Bitfocus Companion and Behringer/Midas X32, M32, XR-18 network devices.
• Fixed the OSC command (live/level) for audio output patches returning inaccurate volume values.
• Other multiple fixes and stability improvements.
