### Version 2026.1 Update Content
#### Enhancement of Functionality and Experience
### Comprehensive Visual Refresh
– Fully supports macOS 27 Golden Gate, with optimizations and tests, and the minimum system requirement is now macOS 15 Sequoia or higher.
– The application icon has been redesigned to match the macOS Golden Gate design language, with the light source adjusted to top illumination, aligning with the system icon style.

– **Toolbar icons are fully redrawn:** using a thicker stroke and a 80% opaque brush to match the system icon visual weight; the icon grid is upgraded from 20 pixels to 22 pixels, and some icons are designed in a dual-color style.
– **Adapting to system window rounded corners:** the positions of status bar text, binary and image comparison controls dynamically adjust with the system version, better aligning with the window corners.
– **All embedded icon resources are now in SVG format, reducing the installation package size; original icons that relied on fonts are now vector-stroked.**
– **Toolbar text contrast tool group width is standardized, so there is no horizontal displacement when switching different contrast types.** ### Navigation and Interaction Experience Improvements

– **Toolbar navigation buttons联动cursor:** The “Previous Change” and “Next Change” buttons in the toolbar, as well as the “Previous Change” and “Next Change” buttons in the scrollbar, not only scroll to the target position but also automatically move the cursor to the corresponding change location when triggered, consistent with the behavior of keyboard shortcuts, achieving seamless integration between keyboard and mouse navigation.
– **Optimized three-way conflict navigation:**
– The “Previous Conflict” command now moves the insertion point to the first line of multi-line conflicts, consistent with the behavior of the “Previous Change” command.
– The menu commands and toolbar buttons related to conflict navigation are now unified in behavior, enabling them based solely on the conflict status in the middle panel, independent of the currently focused panel.
– **Improved shortcut system:**
– Global change navigation shortcuts `Ctrl+Alt+↑` / `Ctrl+Alt+↓` can traverse all changes in the entire comparison.
– New shortcuts `Ctrl+Shift+Alt+↑` / `Ctrl+Shift+Alt+↓` are added, allowing direct navigation between change lines in split view folder comparisons, skipping remaining changes within the current file.
– Panel internal navigation shortcuts `Ctrl+Shift+↑` / `Ctrl+Shift+↓` are added, equivalent to the original F7/F8 shortcuts.
– **Optimized image comparison navigation:** The toolbar now includes a “Changes” group, allowing navigation between change lines in folder comparisons in split view scenarios. ### Function Details Improvements

– **Enhanced “Save Modified Files” panel:** The “Save File Name” column width can now be freely stretched to the maximum panel width, automatically filling the column width when the panel is opened or resized.
– **Java runtime replacement:** The built-in Java runtime is now replaced with an Azul Zulu build of OpenJDK 25.0.4, with the same licensing agreement.
– **System build upgrade:** The system is fully upgraded to adapt to Apple Xcode 27 and the latest third-party dependency libraries, improving stability and compatibility. ## Two, Function Changes and Removals

1. **Removed three types of file system plugins:** Removed FTP, Perforce, and Subversion file system plugins; the Perforce plugin was previously marked as deprecated. This does not affect the use of Merge as an external comparison tool with Perforce and Subversion clients.
2. **Removed Finder extension:** Removed the deprecated Finder extension plugin, recommended to use the macOS version of the Merge service instead; this also resolved the issue of Finder sidebar icons not displaying correctly on macOS 26 Tahoe.
3. **Updated path rules:** Local file/folder paths containing `://` are no longer supported and are now recognized as unrecognized protocols.
4. **Git version management tool dependency upgrade:** The Git plugin now requires Git ≥ 2.24.0, and the Mercurial plugin now requires Mercurial ≥ 4.4.2; new parameters are added for command calls to enhance stability and security.
5. **Optimized SCM version query:** When “Show SCM System File Versions” is enabled, version information is only queried after the path is confirmed (by pressing Enter, selecting a history item, or removing the input from the box).
6. **Removed some API settings:** Some credential notifications and file system plugin settings have been removed from the Automation API and AppleScript, and these settings are automatically deleted when the software starts.
7. **Removed redundant settings:** Unnecessary internal firewall settings are removed, and related storage data is automatically cleared when the software starts. ## Three, Error Fixes

1. **Fixed regex character class matching issues:** Fixed issues with character classes and escape characters like `w`, `b`, `[[:upper:]]`, `[[:space:]]` caused by the upgrade of the Boost library.
2. **Fixed hexadecimal escape issues:** Hexadecimal escape sequences with letters (e.g., `xE9`) now correctly match the target characters, and illegal escape sequences are now correctly reported.
3. **Fixed binary comparison occasional deadlocks:** Fixed race conditions that could cause the program to hang when starting binary comparison via AppleScript or command-line tools.
4. **Fixed Git working tree historical version access issues:** The Git plugin now correctly lists and opens early versions of files within a Git working tree.
5. **Fixed Git relative path URI high-usage issues:** Relative paths in Git URI no longer cause the program to consume CPU cores, and such invalid URIs are now directly rejected.
6. **Fixed false navigation targets in three-way comparison:** In three-way text comparison, exclusion blocks in the left and right files are no longer incorrect navigation targets in the middle panel.
7. **Fixed control missing issue when saving comparisons:** When reopening saved text/binary comparisons, all rulers, scroll bars, and change buttons in the panels are now displayed correctly.
8. **Optimized invalid encoding handling:** In UTF-8 files, invalid byte sequences are now only replaced with Unicode replacement characters, preserving the rest of the line; lines that cannot be decoded are now displayed in Latin-1 characters.
9. **Fixed byte order mark (BOM) handling issues:** Byte order marks (BOM) are now correctly identified and not treated as text content; when saving, BOMs are handled according to the encoding rules.
10. **Fixed folder comparison jump crashes:** When jumping up to the previous change line from the first change in a split view folder comparison, the program no longer crashes or exhibits abnormal behavior.
11. **Fixed layout issues:** Layout issues in the settings window are now fixed, including alignment problems in different system versions and truncation issues in Japanese-language windows.
12. **Fixed table display issues in settings window:** Text within table cells no longer extends beyond the cell background. Software screenshots:
