For those new to Mac software, here is a detailed and safe installation guide. Please follow the steps carefully to avoid permission issues.
Click the download link on this page to get the NetWorker Pro archive. The file format is usually .dmg or .zip. After downloading, double-click the archive to extract it. If your Mac system version is higher, you may need to allow sources other than “App Store and identified developers”.
After extraction, you will see a disk image file named NetWorker Pro.dmg. Double-click it, and the system will automatically mount it and open a new window in the desktop or Finder. This window usually contains the application icon and a shortcut to the “Applications” folder.
This is the most classic installation method on Mac. Drag the NetWorker Pro.app icon with your mouse onto the adjacent Applications folder icon. The system will automatically start copying files, which usually takes only a few seconds.
After installation, open “Launchpad”, find the NetWorker Pro icon, and click it. On first launch, macOS may pop up a security prompt saying “Cannot open ‘NetWorker Pro’ because the developer cannot be verified.” This is because the software comes from a non-App Store channel.
Solution: Open “System Settings” -> “Privacy & Security”. Find the “Open Anyway” button at the bottom of the page, click it, and confirm. This is a normal part of macOS protection mechanisms.
After the software opens normally, you need to find the NetWorker Pro icon in the menu bar. Click the icon and select “Preferences”. In the “License” or “Registration” tab, enter the activation code we provide. After successful activation, all features will be fully unlocked. It is recommended to check “Launch at login” in preferences for daily convenience.
We have compiled the most common questions users encounter, hoping to help you quickly resolve your doubts.
Answer: Please check the “Menu Bar” option in Preferences. Make sure you have checked at least one display item. Also, check if you have selected the correct network adapter in the “Display” tab. Restarting the software usually solves this problem.
Answer: This may be a refresh interval setting issue. Open Preferences, adjust the “Update Interval” in “General”, and it is recommended to set it to 1 second. Also, check whether the display unit is B/s or b/s; the numerical difference between the two is 8 times. If the network itself fluctuates greatly, data jumping is normal.
Answer: First, confirm that you have copied the complete activation code without extra spaces before or after. Second, check if the version matches. The v8.3.0 version provided on this page can only use the corresponding activation code. If the problem persists, please contact us via the contact information at the bottom of the page.
Answer: Absolutely normal. NetWorker Pro has natively supported Apple Silicon chips since v8.0. We have tested it on M1 and M2 Pro models, and it runs very smoothly without compatibility issues.
Answer: If the software behaves abnormally, you can try resetting. After closing the software, open Finder, press the shortcut Command + Shift + G, and enter the path ~/Library/Preferences/. Find the file named com.proswitcher.networkerpro.plist, delete it or move it to the desktop for backup. Restart the software to restore default settings.
Answer: Almost none. NetWorker Pro is a very lightweight tool. Checked in Activity Monitor, its CPU usage is usually below 1%, and memory usage is only a few dozen MB. You can safely let it run in the background.
Answer: Click the NetWorker Pro icon in the menu bar and select “Open Main Window”. At the bottom of the main window, you can see traffic overviews for “Today”, “This Week”, and “This Month”. The software automatically accumulates this data, helping you understand network usage at a glance.
