After downloading, follow the steps below to easily complete the installation. The whole process takes about 3-5 minutes.
Download the NetWorker Pro for Mac v7.4.0 archive from this page. The file format is usually .zip or .dmg.
Double-click the downloaded archive and the system will automatically extract it. If the system prompts “cannot be opened”, go to “System Preferences” > “Security & Privacy” > “General” and click the “Open Anyway” button.
After extraction, you will see an application icon named NetWorker Pro.app. Drag it to the adjacent “Applications” folder.
This process installs the software into your Mac system. After dragging, you can find the software in Launchpad.
Open “Launchpad”, find and click the NetWorker Pro icon. On first launch, macOS may display a security prompt.
The system will request “Accessibility” permission so that the software can display properly in the menu bar. Go to “System Preferences” > “Security & Privacy” > “Privacy” > “Accessibility” and check NetWorker Pro.
After launching, you will see the NetWorker Pro icon in the menu bar at the top right of the screen. Click the icon and select “Preferences”.
In the “Menu Bar” tab, you can customize which information to display, such as upload/download speed, IP address, traffic usage, etc. Check the items you need, and the menu bar will update in real time.
Q1: Why doesn’t the menu bar show network speed information?
A: Please check whether you have granted the software “Accessibility” permission. Path: System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility, check NetWorker Pro. Also, make sure the software has “Launch at login” enabled.
Q2: Does NetWorker Pro support macOS Ventura or Sonoma?
A: Yes. Version 7.4.0 is perfectly compatible with the latest macOS 14 Sonoma and earlier versions. Tested on Macs with M1, M2, and Intel chips, it runs stably.
Q3: How do I switch the network speed display unit (B/s vs b/s)?
A: Click the menu bar icon and select “Preferences” > “General”. Find “Data Unit” under the “Display” option and switch between “Bytes/s” and “Bits/s”.
Q4: Why does the software prompt for VPN permission?
A: This is to read detailed information about the network adapter. Please authorize with confidence; NetWorker Pro will not record or upload your network data, and it is only used for local monitoring display.
Q5: Is the traffic statistics feature accurate?
A: Very accurate. The software directly calls the system’s underlying network interface API for data reading, consistent with macOS’s built-in “Activity Monitor” data. You can compare the two to verify.
Q6: How do I uninstall NetWorker Pro?
A: Open “Finder” > “Applications”, find NetWorker Pro, and drag it to the Trash. Then go to “System Preferences” > “Accessibility” and uncheck it to completely remove it.
Q7: Will the software affect Mac performance?
A: Almost no impact. NetWorker Pro uses extremely low system resources (typically CPU usage below 1%), memory usage is about 30-50MB, and the impact on battery life is negligible.
Q8: Why is the displayed external IP address incorrect?
A: Please check whether a VPN or proxy service is enabled. If enabled, the software displays the VPN server’s IP address, not your real IP. After turning off the VPN, normal display will resume.
