Unity of Command II puts you in command of the Western Allies in World War II. You will manage army divisions along with their supply and logistics. In Unity of Command, you will also face “fog of war” for the first time. Gather intelligence on enemy positions by capturing enemy soldiers and launching reconnaissance to reveal unknown enemy forces. Enemy armored units will try to catch your stragglers, reorganize them, and launch a counterattack!

Dynamic Campaign — Rewrite the history of WWII with branching campaigns and craft a playthrough experience like no other.

Headquarters — This new feature places army headquarters on the map, from which you can direct unit reorganization, bridge building, and resupply. Headquarters are not only key to reinforcing and restoring the strength of depleted units, but can also deploy special abilities such as emergency supply and use headquarters trucks to motorize units.

Theater Assets — This feature from the original game is greatly expanded in Unity of Command II. Destroy infrastructure to create chaos behind enemy lines. Order your aircraft to provide aerial reconnaissance, carry out devastating bombardments, or use aerial supply assets to aid units behind enemy lines.

Additional Objectives — Take on “what if” objectives that could change history—seize the chance to dash for the Apennines, or crush the German defenses before they can gain a foothold.

Fog of War — To deal with the enemy, you must first find them. Capture stragglers, upgrade headquarters, and use its special abilities to discover enemy special defense markers, thereby exposing enemy positions.

Deep Operations — Unity of Command introduced supply lines, a feature that became its signature and revolutionized turn-based strategy games. As you scheme to penetrate deep behind enemy lines, cut supply lines, and encircle enemy units, you must also keep a close eye on your own logistics.

Accessible Scenario Editor — Unity of Command II features a comprehensive Allied campaign and adds several decisive WWII battles playable from the Axis perspective. The game includes a built-in scenario editor, and players can use integrated Steam Workshop support to create and share new battlefields.

This update is a long-term maintenance release aimed at ensuring stable operation and compatibility for years to come. Core updates include:

– Added sRGB encoding gamma correction on the shader side, eliminating the need for the AMD fix mod

– Replaced the Courier font with a font that supports multilingual scripts, fixing a crash caused by Chinese characters in the cutscenes of the Ardennes 44 DLC campaign

– Fixed an issue with abnormal rendering of ruined cities after loading a save
