The following are screenshots of NetWorker Pro for Mac, showing its main window, menu bar display, and various function settings.

Installing NetWorker Pro for Mac v8.2.3 is not complicated. Follow the steps below and you will be up and running quickly. We ensure every step is verified to avoid common pitfalls.
After clicking the download link, you will get a .dmg image file. Double-click to open it. It is recommended to verify file integrity first: enter shasum -a 256 filename.dmg in Terminal and compare with the official hash value. If they match, the file has not been tampered with.
In the opened window, drag the NetWorker Pro icon to the Applications folder. This is the standard macOS installation method. Wait for the progress bar to complete, usually a few seconds. If you encounter a “file is damaged” prompt, check your system security settings.
When opening for the first time, the system may pop up a warning. This is because the software is not notarized by Apple. You need to go to “System Preferences” > “Security & Privacy” > “General” and click “Open Anyway”. Or hold the Control key and click the app icon, then select “Open”.
After launching, NetWorker Pro will request network permissions. Click “Allow”. It needs access to network adapters to read data. If denied, the software cannot work properly. You can adjust this at any time in “System Preferences” > “Privacy & Security”.
After installation, a network icon will appear in the menu bar. Click it and select “Preferences”. Here you can customize the displayed rate, unit (B/s or b/s), and refresh interval. It is recommended to set it to 1 second initially and adjust as needed later.
In Preferences, check “Launch at login”. This way, NetWorker Pro will start automatically every time you boot up. For users who need continuous network traffic monitoring, this feature is very practical. If you travel frequently, it is recommended to enable it for easy viewing of data usage at any time.
This version has built-in Chinese activation. After installation, the software displays the Chinese interface by default. If you find it is in English, please select Simplified Chinese in “Preferences” > “Language”. Restart the software to take effect. No additional activation code is required, saving tedious steps.
We have compiled the 10 most common problems encountered by users. If you encounter difficulties during installation or use, you can check here first. These answers are based on actual testing and community feedback.
Check if the system version is compatible. NetWorker Pro v8.2.3 requires macOS 10.13 or later. Also, try restarting your Mac. If it still doesn’t work, delete the app and download again. Note: Do not download from unofficial channels to avoid file corruption.
Open “System Preferences” > “Dock & Menu Bar” and make sure the NetWorker Pro icon is enabled. If it still doesn’t show, click the software menu bar icon and select “Show in Menu Bar”. Sometimes restarting the software or system can solve it.
Check the refresh interval setting. If set too long (e.g., 10 seconds), data will lag. It is recommended to set it to 1-2 seconds. Also, ensure only the active adapter is monitored. If you use both Wi-Fi and wired network, the software may get confused. Manually select the correct adapter in Preferences.
Find the “Data Unit” option in Preferences. Choose B/s (bytes/second) or b/s (bits/second). Note: ISPs usually use b/s, while file sizes use B/s. If you are monitoring a data plan, it is recommended to use b/s. If you are looking at download speed, B/s is more intuitive.
Check if NetWorker Pro is disabled in Login Items. Go to “System Preferences” > “Users & Groups” > “Login Items” and make sure the app is in the list. If not, add it manually. Also, some system updates may reset settings, requiring reconfiguration.
Make sure your macOS supports dark mode (10.14 and above). Check “Dark Mode” in the software preferences. If it doesn’t work, try restarting the software. Note: Dark mode only takes effect in the independent monitoring window; the menu bar icon is not affected.
NetWorker Pro itself is very lightweight. If usage is too high, check if multiple monitoring windows are open. Close unnecessary windows. Also, increasing the refresh interval can reduce CPU usage. If the problem persists, it may be a system issue; consider updating macOS.
Ensure network connection is normal. If the firewall blocks the software from accessing external services, you need to allow it. Click “Check External IP” in Preferences. If it fails, try manually visiting ipinfo.io. If the website works, it is a software issue; reinstall.
This is the focus of the v8.2.3 fix. If the problem persists, try resetting preferences: delete the ~/Library/Preferences/com.networker.pro.plist file and restart the software. Note: This will clear all custom settings. If the problem remains, contact our technical support.
Drag the app from the Applications folder to the Trash. However, preference files may remain. It is recommended to manually delete the ~/Library/Preferences/com.networker.pro.plist and ~/Library/Application Support/NetWorker Pro folders. Tools like CleanMyMac can also thoroughly clean up.
When using NetWorker Pro, mastering some Mac shortcuts can improve efficiency. The following table lists the most commonly used key combinations. Note: These are system-level shortcuts and also apply in NetWorker Pro. The table uses a clean design for quick reference.
| Shortcut | Function | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Command + Q | Quit current app | Quickly close NetWorker Pro |
| Command + H | Hide app window | Keep background monitoring, hide interface |
| Command + M | Minimize window |
